Ways to Manage the Startup Programs in Windows 10


Windows 10 is an exceptionally good operating system among all the versions of Windows till now. Microsoft, the developer of this operating system, has worked to add new features and functionalities in Windows. The company has made the Windows 10 fast and responsive, but still, some have reported some issues. Even though the Windows is a fast operating system, it also sometimes work bit slow which is quite frustrating for the user.

Disabling Apps Using Settings option

1. Press the Windows key + I button to open the Settings of the system.

2. Find and click Apps from the window.

3. Now navigate to Startup from the left panel of the window.

4. Now, select the apps which you want to remove from Startup.

5. Now, toggle off the buttons to disable the app from Startup.

6. Now, restart your system check the Startup Program is showing the selected apps or not.

Disabling the Apps Using Task Manager

1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc key combination to open the Task Manager.

2. Now, click the Startup tab from the toolbar.

3. Move right in the box and find Startup Column to determine apps affecting the Startup time.

4. Now, select an app which you want to remove from Startup.

5. Now, right click on the program and select Disable from the menu opened.

There are two ways, already mentioned above, through which you can easily disable the apps from Startup Program and reduce the boot time. Settings app is providing the facility to manage or modify the Startup Program only in Windows 10 updates appeared in April this year. So if you are still running on the previous versions, you cannot gain the ability to modify the program. Hence to reduce the boot time, you must install the updates first.
