Ways to Manage the Startup Programs in Windows 10

Windows 10 is an exceptionally good operating system among all the versions of Windows till now. Microsoft, the developer of this operating system, has worked to add new features and functionalities in Windows. The company has made the Windows 10 fast and responsive, but still, some have reported some issues. Even though the Windows is a fast operating system, it also sometimes work bit slow which is quite frustrating for the user.

The users have revealed that during the startup, the system takes a longer time to boot and become workable. It means the users have to wait longer than before to use the system and begin their work. Well, the Startup apps can be responsible for this problem that is occurring in the system. But, these users should not worry anything as the updates released in a few months this year give the users, ability to modify the startup page.

Since there are some apps that you have to download and install in your system but with the help of Advanced Option in the Settings of the system, a user can manage the Startup Program. Once you manage the Startup program, the slow boot will be fixed for sure, and your computer will boot faster and quicker like it used to. If your computer is booting at a slow rate, then the Startup program can be a factor responsible for it. To fix the problem, follow the steps mentioned below in the guide.

Here’s how to manage the Startup Programs in Windows 10

Disabling Apps Using Settings option

1. Press the Windows key + I button to open the Settings of the system.

2. Find and click Apps from the window.

3. Now navigate to Startup from the left panel of the window.

4. Now, select the apps which you want to remove from Startup.

5. Now, toggle off the buttons to disable the app from Startup.

6. Now, restart your system check the Startup Program is showing the selected apps or not.

Disabling the Apps Using Task Manager

1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc key combination to open the Task Manager.

2. Now, click the Startup tab from the toolbar.

3. Move right in the box and find Startup Column to determine apps affecting the Startup time.

4. Now, select an app which you want to remove from Startup.

5. Now, right click on the program and select Disable from the menu opened.

There are two ways, already mentioned above, through which you can easily disable the apps from Startup Program and reduce the boot time. Settings app is providing the facility to manage or modify the Startup Program only in Windows 10 updates appeared in April this year. So if you are still running on the previous versions, you cannot gain the ability to modify the program. Hence to reduce the boot time, you must install the updates first.

How to Fix Low Wi-Fi Signal Strength Issue on Windows 10?

As we know, to install software completely, we need a high speed Wi-fi network. But if we cannot, then we often get annoyed. Wifi low signal strength can waste your time and efforts. So for your convenience, we are providing some of the useful methods to solve low Wifi signal strength issue on your Windows computer. If you are also facing this issue after an update or re-installation, then this post will guide you on how to fix low Wifi signal strength issue on your computer.

Most of the device users are using some or the other wireless technology to connect with other devices. All of the wireless technology comes with some limitation regarding the range and signal strength. So, you can be faced with something similar while connecting to a Wi-Fi network from your computer system. Usually, it may happen when you are doing an update or reinstallation for any program.

Causes of Low WI-Fi signal strength on Windows 10

It can be identified by just having a look at the signal bars in the Wi-Fi icon. Or you can do it by measuring the Wi-Fi strength. There could be hundreds of possibilities for this issue. But no need to worry, this post will help you to cover the most general situations that might benefit most of the people.

Methods to Fix Low Wi-Fi Signal Strength Issue on Windows 10

Method-1 Run Network Adapter Troubleshooter

One of the easiest and most straightforward methods to get rid with this situation is running Network Adapter Troubleshooter.

To start troubleshooting, right-click on the Wi-Fi icon from the system tray.
       Then select Troubleshoot problems.
It will take a few seconds to run the troubleshooter.
Once it is done, it will show you all the problems with your network adapter.
Alongside, it will also solve them in the background, but again some problems will require manual action.

If the Network Adapter Troubleshooter was not able to identify and solve your problem, then you can use the next method.

Method-2 Use the Device Manager

To fix all of the hardware related issues, you need to use the Device Manager.
To do this, open the device manager, and then go to the under Network Adapters to find your Wi-Fi adapter.
Then right-click on it and then open Properties section.
Go to the under the driver tab to see all actions related to drivers.
You can also try to update or rollback the driver.
After that, if you issue has not resolved, then you can also disable and re-enable the device.

Method-3 Improve the WiFi Roaming Sensitivity

If you are trying to change the Wi-Fi reception and want to work on your Windows PC then you need to change the WiFi Roaming Sensitivity or Aggressiveness. Roaming Sensitivity is the rate at that your device selects and switches to the nearest available router point of access, will provide you a good speed signal. It is totally based on Wi-fi signal strength and speed quality – and not on the distance to the WiFi point.

Method-4 Wi-Fi Range

It is also possible that this has nothing to do with your hardware or drivers but rather the position of your computer system concerning the Wi-Fi router. It can also be possible that your physical location might be an issue for low Wi-fi signal strength.
